    What's the problem?

No way to restore default settings in Amethyst app.
https://github.com/ianyh/Amethyst/blob/master/Amethyst/default.amethyst

How can it be reproduced?

  1. Install the app
  2. Change preferences for layouts, shortcuts, etc.
  3. No way to restore to default settings.

    What applications are involved?

Just Amethyst.

I've removed most of the shortcuts (I don't use spaces for example) that I don't use. If I ever decided to make use of spaces (I don't even know what spaces are) I might find myself wishing I could restore individual shortcuts. (An icon next to "Record shortcut" to restore default would be cool)

Would this be a welcome PR?

There is no in-app feature, but you can delete the preferences file and relaunch the app. From a terminal enter

rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.amethyst.Amethyst.plist

Perhaps we can add these tips to the wiki before such features are added to the app?
I am trying to add a TIPs page, but don't have rights to modify the wiki.

I would have to think about the exact implementation, but the idea itself seems fairly reasonable. I鈥檓 a little skeptical about adding a UI element on every line in addition to the one already there. Maybe it鈥檚 better as a context menu? I guess I would have to see it to feel it out.
