Where can we find a list of the issues that have been fixed in CU1 and CU2? I checked the vsix notes, the cumulative updates comments, and I cannot find anything. There has to be a record of fixes somewhere.
Like always in the corresponding KB articles:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4058601
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4078580
Thanks, that is where I checked, but I'm not seeing anything pertaining to the AL functionality. Only platform and application changes, as usual.
I'm looking for the fixes that have been backported to NAV concerning the AL functionality. For instance, #62 has reportedly been fixed in CU2, but there is no reference to that or any other bugfixes anywhere that I can find.
The #62 issue is tagged as part of the February 2018 milestone so I'm guessing it has not been released as part of the 2018 CU2. Just guessing.
@DavidRoys That is my point, we shouldn't have to guess. There should be an overview of the fixes published somewhere.
@bwdeleeuw And where did you take the information from, that NAV 2018 CU1 and CU2 should include any backported update? Usually MS includes such updates in the developer previews (--> later in NAV 2018 R2) only, not in the 2018 CUs.
@NKarolak : https://github.com/Microsoft/AL/issues/1322 (last answer). thpeder confirm it will be backported.
@HelleChr Thanks!
@NKarolak also, #722, reaction from @StanislawStempin: "We are currently working on addressing this issue. We will target back-porting the fix to NAV 2018."
But to answer your larger question, it has been made clear by MS that not only fixes will be back-ported, but also selected features, on a case by case decision, also by @StanislawStempin, in #1296: "Having said that, we will back-port selected features to NAV 2018 but it will be a case by case decision dependent on the costs/benefits of doing so. It will mean finding a balance between fixing truly blocking issues on NAV 2018 vs completing new feature development for the latest version (for example, we will be back-porting the fix for #62 to NAV 2018)."
Right now, I have to retest a lot of issues in every CU1. I have been able to confirm that #62, #1044 and #988 seem to work in CU2. I still have to test #1182. The fact that these issues are working in CU2 is a clear indication that MS is back-porting issues to NAV 2018. If there was a list of fixes somewhere, I could target my testing to just those that have been back-ported, instead of having to retest all issues every time.
Right now every CU is a black box, a new version, with no indication of what it contains. Even the changelog is stale, and contains information about the December Update. It would save everyone a lot of time if the MS team were to simply publish a list of back-ported fixes per NAV 2018 CU. Wouldn't you agree?

It has been more than two weeks since this suggestion has been logged. Any response?
Future CUs (starting from CU4) will include the list of AL Development related fixes in the KB articles alongside other fixes. The reason why CU1-CU3 doesn't include them is that we used a different process for backporting issues reported through GitHub and these did not get picked up by the KB tooling.
@StanislawStempin that is great, thanks!
Reopening this isssue; CU4 has no mention of any AL-related fixes in the KB article
@bwdeleeuw Hum yes, there is one: 264468 Word or RDLC report layout is not auto generated on build if it is not found when you develop AL extensions.
@NKarolak thanks; I even searched for "AL", must have overlooked it.
