My two cents: As a first step, I think it would be great to hop onto the sig-azure community meetings and begin our engagement with the community there. I think this would help us reach out to the community and make our presence known gradually.

I noted on Slack late last week that there are seemingly common configurations that don't actually work well, or at all. For example: https://github.com/Azure/acs-engine/issues/4288. There should be somewhere for me, and others, as community members to contribute to that would allow this kind of "tribal knowledge" to be front and center to users of this project. Of course it has to be curated to avoid a free-for-all of outdated and fragmented information.

Is there a slack channel that I can join?

@vijaygos You can register at slack.k8s.io/ and join the #sig-azure channel
