With the annoyances filter on, Bing will not scroll through search results or news results. The Bing homescreen will scroll through news topics (scroll up from the bottom), but any search or click from there will not.

With filters off, a cookie warning will display on search and news result screens and scrolling will be disabled. Scrolling works fine after you click “accept”. Note that the bing homescreen (the screen that was unaffected by the annoyance filter scrolling bug), does not display the cookie warning.

Resolved AdGuard for iOS Critical Incorrect Blocking

Most helpful comment

Added both rules @krystian3w did post and removed previous ones. I just reproduced with Finnish VPN and selecting 2nd Norsk language.

Restored cookie dialogue for iOS and Android CB. Scrolling works fine for Chrome Extension. Update available in about 3 hours.

@BlazDT:

This rule (found in AdGuard Annoyances filter) still breaks scrolling for all other platforms:
bing.com##body > div[id^="bnp.nid"]

How to reproduce:
1 - Search for anything @ bing.com
2 - Click on the IMAGES tab.
Result: No scroll bar (even if you return to the ALL tab, the scroll bar will remain hidden)!

Working fine here on Android. @AdamWr can you reproduce?

I'm not talking about Android.
I reproduced the issue under Windows, using uBO in Pale Moon and Chromium-ungoogled.

This fixes the problem at my end:
bing.com#$#html { overflow: auto !important; }

@krystian3w:
Are you able to reproduce this?:
https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdguardFilters/issues/67587#issuecomment-727552696
..or is it yet another example of a highly region-dependent GDPR issue, limited to my small part of the world?

Looks like region-dependent, because I can't reproduce it either.

@THEtomaso No.

This need mask as Norway 🇳🇴? Or PaleMoon/Chromium specific?

Okay, I was finally able to reproduce this, as it turned out the procedure in https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdguardFilters/issues/67587/#issuecomment-727552696 hinged on AdGuard Annoyances filter being turned on, which was not easily obvious from the reproduction procedure.

Thanks for confirming, DS.
Could you please confirm that my proposed fix works at your end too?:

For me needed is click in "Norsk" on langugage list - visible on list after use VPN:

https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=Rishi+Sunak+Diwali+news&setmkt=nb-no&setlang=nb-no

when I see locked scroll:

<html dir="ltr" xml:lang="nb" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xmlns:web="http://schemas.live.com/Web/" style="overflow: hidden;" lang="nb">

@kiboke your filter also is bad:

###bnp_cookie_banner

Needed is remove from list, no everyone use Addon instead list.

For me needed is click in "Norsk" on langugage list

Doesn't do anything at my end.
The scroll bar remains missing, unless I use the fix that I've suggested.

Polish "guys" need use VPN, refresh page, click in "Norsk" to reproduce.

I didn't mean that you'll fix the rewind (scrolling) yourself when you're a few clicks in "Norsk" (You probably only have "English" to click on the header).

AdGuard maybe add these:

bing.com#$#body > div[id^="bnp.nid"] { display: none !important; }
bing.com#$#html[style="overflow: hidden;"] { overflow: visible !important; }
  • because like minimize override scroll to needed situations
  • they almost always use visible, rare auto/initial/unset.

I do not support/reccomend the use of remove-attrib in this case.

@lassekongo83:
What happens when connecting from Sweden?
See my post here: https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdguardFilters/issues/67587#issuecomment-727552696

@THEtomaso Yeah, there's a cookie modal that disables the scroll.

So worth only for northern Europe?

Added both rules @krystian3w did post and removed previous ones. I just reproduced with Finnish VPN and selecting 2nd Norsk language.

@krystian3w I see it too now from Croatia without proxies. Here a non-modal version loads by default on 1st and 2nd load. After that a modal version appears and disables scrolling, on mobiles and desktop. #bnp_cookie_banner will be removed from IDCAC filter list.

thanks
