This issue is limited to my ISP where the ISP redirects HTTP sites to its ad network and then redirects back to HTTP site after 15 seconds. (You may not be able to reproduce the issue at your end)
Such issue is rampant across many major ISPs across the globe (i.e. Injecting Ads in HTTP Sites)
Please reach out to me via GitHub and I'd provide any additional logs so as to reproduce the issue on your end.
@debmaj2 Please record HAR file in private tabs:
https://kb.adguard.com/en/android/solving-problems/har
Better reproduce an issue twice before sending file.
I have emailed the HAR files to support email, mentioning the issue ID and link.
The issue is persistent across IE, Chrome, Firefox across all Devices (Android, iOS, PC and Mac), and I have a Premium Account in all three.
Ok. Please check the rule for custom filter:
#%#AG_onLoad(function() { openOriginalUrl(); });
Added the Custom Rule and restarted Adguard (Android). The issue still persists.
In the meanwhile, HARs have arrived. See ticket 2626146.
Apparently, they are using Phozeca SDK to target Ads. Here's a Tech Stack Overview of what they are doing: https://www.phozeca.com/?page_id=1296
Better just not visit HTTP sites. They replace page content completely.
The problem is with major HTTPS sites like Quora and Stackoverflow too, sites which check for tokens using a HTTP request.
Of course, HTTP sites are victims, but it includes any HTTPS sites which have a HTTP preloading connection
Modern browser should to block mixed content(HTTP on HTTPS sites). I am not sure if Stackoverflow uses just HTTP requests.
